An Aber 1:48 photo-etched set for the Tiger II with the Porsche turret is a group of brass parts for refining a model of the German heavy tank. It is an accessory to the build, not a model.
Responsibility details are not available.
A photo-etched set from the Polish maker Aber in 1:48 scale intended for models of the German Tiger II heavy tank in the version with the so-called Porsche turret. The set replaces and adds to the plastic fittings with thin brass parts and so noticeably raises the realism of a model. It is not a kit of the tank but an added detail accessory.
The Tiger II, nicknamed the Königstiger or King Tiger, was the heaviest German production tank of the Second World War. Armed with the long 8.8 cm KwK 43 gun, it combined thick frontal armor with high penetrating power. The early machines carried a rounded turret of Porsche design, which was later replaced by the more angular Henschel turret.
Separate the parts with a sharp knife or photo-etch scissors and make the bends on a bending tool. They are glued with cyanoacrylate glue or epoxy; degrease the brass before painting and spray it with a base coat. Working with photo-etch is better suited to more experienced modelers.
This is an accessory, not the model itself. The base kit, glue and paints are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
