This is an accessory, not a model. The set contains precisely die-cut self-adhesive masks for the glazing of a model of the British Hunter F.6 fighter in 1:48 scale. The TFace designation means that the package holds masks for both sides of the transparent parts, outer and inner. Thanks to that you can spray the canopy frames from the outside in the external camouflage shade and from the inside in the interior shade, exactly as the real aircraft has them.
Going round the frames with a brush by hand is lengthy and seldom comes out straight. Die-cut masks follow the shape of the frames of the given model precisely, stay in place and leave a sharp edge once peeled off. At the same time they protect the glazing from overspray and fingerprints during the build.
Take the masks off the backing with pointed tweezers or a wooden stick and press them down with a soft stick, so that they sit well against the edges of the frame. Degrease the transparent parts beforehand. Spray in thin coats, as a heavy coat of paint will create a ridge at the edge of the mask. Peel the mask off shortly after the paint has dried, not after several days, when it separates less easily. Any glue residue can be removed with a wooden stick and alcohol, which will not attack the plastic.
