A set of precisely shaped self-adhesive masks in kabuki tape for a model of the Hawker Hunter jet fighter type in 1:48 scale. The masks make it easier to spray the frames of the glazed cockpit and the wheel discs cleanly, without laborious cutting out. It is not a kit: it is an accessory used while painting a model that is finished or still under construction.
The Hawker Hunter is a British jet fighter and ground-attack aircraft with a swept wing and a Rolls-Royce Avon engine. The F Mk.6 version was a fighter, while the FGA.9 version was adapted for ground attack. The elegant Hunter served with the Royal Air Force and with many foreign air forces for decades.
The pre-cut masks in self-adhesive kabuki tape are stuck onto the canopy glazing and the wheel discs, pressed into the engraved lines of the frames with a pointed wooden stick, and then the surface is sprayed. Once the paint has dried the tape is taken off and the framing stays clean and crisp. An airbrush gives an even coat; the masks can also be used for two-color camouflage masking.
This is a set of painting masks, not a model. The kit itself, the paints and the glue are not included in the package and are obtained separately.
