The Eduard 1:48 Ilyushin Il-2 Stormovik TFace is a double-sided masking set for a model in 1:48: stencils for the outside and for the inner side of the glazing. It is not a kit.

A double-sided masking set from the Czech manufacturer Eduard for a model of the Il-2 ground-attack aircraft in 1:48. In Eduard's range the TFace designation means the variant that deals with the inner side of the glazing as well as the outer one. It is an accessory for painting a kit, not a model of the aircraft.
The glazing frames are not the same from both sides. Inside the cockpit they follow the color of the interior, outside the camouflage of the fuselage, so there are two different shades on one part. Without a double-sided set the inner side has to be either painted with a brush or left transparent; both show on a finished model, because you can see into the cockpit through the glazing of the Il-2. Double-sided stencils make it possible to spray both sides with a gun and to keep the same quality of edge inside and out.
Stick the inner masks on, spray the interior shade and let it dry thoroughly. Then glue the part into the fuselage, mask the outside and carry on with the undercoat and the camouflage. This order is binding: once the cockpit is closed up, the inner side of the glazing is no longer accessible. Choose a glue for transparent parts that releases no fumes and does not fog the glass. Take the mask off shortly after the paint has set, pulling it along the edge rather than straight away from the surface.
The package contains masking stencils only. The kit, paints and glue are not part of it.
