Self-adhesive masks cut to shape for the Lavochkin La-11 model in 1:48 scale. The masks are cut to exact outlines, so the tedious cutting of strips of adhesive tape under a magnifier does not arise. They are stuck onto the areas that are meant to stay free of paint and are taken off again once it has been sprayed. Another advantage is that the shape comes out absolutely identical on both sides of the model, which is hard to achieve by cutting it by hand.
The La-11 was a Soviet fighter of the late 1940s, derived from the earlier La-9. It came about as a long-range escort machine, so it carried more fuel and had a more comfortable working position for the pilot. It was among the last Soviet fighters with a piston engine and remained in service into the time when the first jets were already flying around it.
A masking set is supplied. The model, paints and glue are not part of the delivery, unless stated otherwise.
