The LööKplus line from the Czech manufacturer Eduard is built on the idea of a bundle: one small box brings together a resin set from the LööK line, that is a color-finished instrument panel complemented by a seat harness, along with further resin accessories for the same model. The modeler therefore does not have to pick set by set and gets a coherent collection of improvements. It is not a kit: these are accessories for a 1:48 model of the Lightning, which has to be bought separately. The exact list of the individual sets is usually printed on the packaging of the package.
The Lockheed P-38 Lightning was an American twin-engine fighter of unusual design: two tail booms running back from the engine nacelles, with a short central nacelle between them holding the cockpit and the armament. The liquid-cooled engines were fitted with turbochargers, thanks to which the aircraft kept its performance at high altitude. The P-38H version was one of the running improvements of the line and preceded the later, most widespread variants.
Do not glue the color-finished instrument panel onto a painted surface until the paint has dried completely, and do not use aggressive glues that could attack the printing. Wash the other resin parts in water with detergent and cut the casting blocks off with a saw. Since the cockpit on the Lightning sits low between the booms, we recommend dry-fitting the assembly before gluing. Bond the resin with cyanoacrylate glue and prime it before painting.
