The E.E. Lightning F.2A/F.6 mask set 1:48 (ADVANCED) from the Czech workshop New Ware: die-cut masks of kabuki tape for the glazing, the frames and the wheels. The target kit is Airfix.
Responsibility details are not available.
A self-adhesive mask set of fine Japanese kabuki tape, shaped by accurate machine die-cutting. It makes masking the glazing faster and more accurate during airbrushing. It is intended for models of the British English Electric Lightning F.2A and F.6 interceptor in 1:48 scale. The masks are cut for the Airfix kit.
This middle level of the set covers the cockpit glazing including masks for the sealing and the edge of the frames, plus further clear parts and the wheel rims. After spraying, the fine lines of the frames and the transitions between the interior and the outside color therefore stand out.
Degrease the glazing and dry it first. Lift the masks off the sheet with tweezers and press them down carefully all around, so that the paint does not run under the edge. Spray in thin coats, first the shade of the frames and then the outside camouflage. Take the masks off carefully once dry. Kabuki tape can be shaped into curves, holds its shape and leaves no adhesive behind.
This is a masking accessory, not a model. The kit itself, paints and glue are not included in the package.
