A replacement wheel set for a model of the German Messerschmitt Bf 109G-6 fighter in 1:48 scale, cut to suit the Tamiya kit.
Responsibility details are not available.
The Messerschmitt Bf 109G-6 is among the most widespread versions of the German fighter of the Second World War. The landing gear of the Bf 109 is attached to the fuselage, the legs converge and the wheels are canted, so the aircraft stands on the ground on a conspicuously narrow track. That is the feature which catches the eye first on a model, and with it the shape and the pattern of the tires.
Replacement wheels for a model of the Bf 109G-6 in 1:48 scale, cut to suit the Tamiya kit. The number in brackets distinguishes this set from the sister wheel set for the same type of aircraft; what the difference between them is, is described in the maker's instructions, so it pays to compare both items before buying. Wheels tend to be the part of a model on which the crispness of the cast detail shows most, because the viewer sees them from close up.
The parts are not polystyrene, so cement for plastic kits does not apply to them; use cyanoacrylate glue. Cut the excess material off with a sharp blade a little away from the part and sand the remainder. Wash and degrease the wheels before painting. If the tire is flattened on one side, turn the flat spot toward the ground and only then fix the wheel in place. The boundary between the hub and the tire comes out best when each part is painted separately.
The kit, paints and glue are not included in the delivery, unless stated otherwise.
