Trumpeter 1:48 Mil Mi-24D Hind-D is a plastic kit of the Soviet attack helicopter. A newly developed mold with rich detail, photo-etched metal and a cargo compartment.
Responsibility details are not available.
This kit from Trumpeter in 1:48 scale captures the Soviet Mil Mi-24 attack helicopter in the D version, NATO reporting name Hind-D. It is a newer injection mold with fine surface detail, supplemented with photo-etched metal and clear parts. The model offers a well worked-out cargo compartment and rotor and makes a good basis for superdetailing as well. The exact contents of the package are given in the instructions.
The Mi-24 is a Soviet attack helicopter that combines the firepower of a gunship with the ability to carry a group of soldiers, which makes it a unique machine in its category. The D version introduced a stepped cockpit with separately glazed positions for a crew of two seated one above the other, heavy armor and a nose gun turret. The machine became one of the most widespread and best-known attack helicopters in the world.
Finish the glazed cockpits from the inside and mask them before the varnish; the separate panes of the D version call for care. Finish the cargo compartment and the interior before closing the fuselage. Glue the photo-etched parts with cyanoacrylate glue and clean the rotor with its drooping blades up gently. Green-and-brown camouflage schemes are typical, and washes and dust pigments will bring the weathering out.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
