A mask set for the model of the MiG-25RBF in 1:48 scale, in the ADVANCED step. The elements are shaped for the kit from the ICM brand stated in the name.
Responsibility details are not available.
The MiG-25 is a Soviet twin-engine airplane built for flight at great altitudes and high speeds. Its angular air intakes on the sides of the fuselage and its pair of vertical tails are characteristic of it. The letters RB in the designation place the machine among the reconnaissance forms, and the RBF version is one of the later modifications of this branch.
This is a mask set shaped to the parts of the ICM kit in 1:48 scale. For this airplane the range offers three steps side by side, BASIC, ADVANCED and EXPERT; this item is the middle ADVANCED step. Which areas of the model the individual steps cover differs between them, and the exact list can be found in the instructions enclosed with the set. Go by the instructions when placing the pieces as well, because there tend to be several similar shapes on the sheet.
Masking is done before spraying, onto a surface free of grease and dust. Lay the element on, line it up and only then press the edges down, working in short sections on curved edges. Lay the paint on in several thin coats; one heavy coat gets under the edge of the mask more easily. Once the paint has dried, take the masks off with tweezers by pulling over the edge of the part, not straight up. Any adhesive residue left by the elements can usually be removed with a cotton swab moistened with water.
It is a supplementary set tied to one particular kit, so check before buying that this is the one you are building. The model itself, paints and glue are not part of the delivery, unless stated otherwise.
