A detailed photo-etched set from Eduard aimed at the armament and external stores of the plastic model of the MiG-27 ground-attack aircraft in 1:48 scale. It is not a model of an airplane but an accessory. The set usually brings fine photo-etched parts for the pylons, the racks and the attachment fittings of the carried armament, which give the external stores a faithful look.
The MiG-27 was a Soviet ground-attack aircraft with a variable-geometry wing, derived from the MiG-23 fighter line and adapted for attacks on ground targets. Its recognition feature was a reworked wedge-shaped nose with no radar and a good view out for the pilot. It was widely used and exported.
Separate the photo-etched parts with a sharp knife and shape them in a photo-etch bending tool. They are glued with super glue. It is worth painting the small mounting elements before they are fitted; metal holds paint better once a primer has been laid on.
This is a supplementary photo-etched set, not a model in its own right. The base kit, glue and paints are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
