It is not a stand-alone model but a resin accessory of carried armament for complementing the external stores of an aircraft or helicopter model. The resin castings offer fine detail of the torpedo body as well as its tail section. The set makes it possible to arm models of US Navy carrier-based anti-submarine machines realistically.
The Mk.44 is an American lightweight anti-submarine torpedo with acoustic homing that was dropped from aircraft and helicopters and also launched from surface vessels. It belonged to the armament of naval anti-submarine defense during the Cold War. It was gradually supplemented by the newer Mk.46 type, but the Mk.44 can be found on a number of period machines.
Wash the mold release agent off the parts, cut off the casting blocks with a sharp knife and glue them with cyanoacrylate glue (super glue). Unify the body with a primer, spray the shade according to the scheme and bring out the surface with a fine wash. Protect your airways when sanding resin.
The set is supplied unassembled and unpainted. The base model, glue, paints and the racks are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
