A set of masks for the glazing of an OV-10 Bronco model in 1:48 scale in the TFace form, that is with masks for the outside and the inside of the glazing.
Responsibility details are not available.
The OV-10 Bronco is a twin-boom observation and light attack aircraft, designed for reconnaissance and close support from short and unprepared surfaces. The crew sits in a markedly glazed cockpit with a view to the sides and downward, and that is exactly what makes the glazing the most laborious place of the whole build.
Masks for the glazing of a model in 1:48 scale. The TFace designation means that the set holds masks for the outside and the inside of the glazing, so the inside of the framing can be sprayed in the cockpit shade from within.
Wash and degrease the glazing first. Apply the masks before spraying, never onto dried paint, and press the edges down with a toothpick or the blunt tip of tweezers, so that the paint cannot run underneath. Apply in thin layers and let them flash off. Take the masks off shortly after the last coat has dried, while the layer is still flexible; after a longer time the edge tears and peels.
For builders who want a sharp transition between the framing and the glass without cutting tape by hand, and for anyone who has so far preferred to avoid a glazed cockpit. The masks are shaped for a particular kit, so check against the instructions that they match yours. The model, paints and glue are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
