Eduard 1:48 P-38F, a smaller color-printed set of photo-etched parts from the Zoom line for the cockpit of the Lightning fighter in the F version, in 1:48 scale.
Responsibility details are not available.
A set of photo-etched parts from the Zoom line by the Czech manufacturer Eduard for a model of the P-38F fighter aircraft in 1:48 scale. Zoom is the lightened variant of the etchings: color-printed parts for the instrument panel and other visible details of the interior, which you can glue in over a single evening. An ideal choice when you do not want to stretch the build out with a complete set of etchings, but the cockpit is meant to be seen.
The Lockheed P-38 Lightning was an American twin-engine fighter aircraft of an unmistakable twin-boom layout with a central nacelle for the pilot. The F version belonged among the first fully combat-deployed variants; it served from 1942 in North Africa and in the Pacific and carried its armament concentrated in the nose, which made the Lightning a precise weapons platform. The glazing of the canopy gives a good view of the cockpit, so detailing really pays off here.
Degrease the parts before gluing, separate them on a hard surface and use tweezers with straight jaws for bending. Glue in spots with cyanoacrylate glue; leave the printed parts without overspray and only varnish them with matte varnish at the end. Think through the order of assembly for the small parts in advance, so that you do not have to come back to them once the cockpit is closed.
This is an accessory set: the base kit, glue and paints are not included in the package.
