HGW is known above all for its laser-cut textile accessories and thin transfers, which look more natural on a model than thick plastic. Accessory sets of this kind deal with the places where injection-molded plastic runs into its limits, that is, above all the cockpit and the small details that are most visible on a model from close up. An open cockpit in 1:48 is among the first things a viewer notices on a finished model, and the difference between a molded part and a finer accessory can be seen at a glance. Textile and film parts behave differently from plastic: they are not attached with cement for plastic, but with cyanoacrylate glue or glue for photo-etched parts, or they are transferred onto the surface according to the manufacturer's instructions. Before fitting them, let the model dry completely and degrease the surface. Bend and shape the parts gradually and try the fit dry before you reach for the glue. If the set contains transfer elements, apply them to a smooth, glossy and clean surface, otherwise silvering will appear under them. Once it is finished, even the whole model out with a flat or semi-gloss coat.
The set is an accessory for a model; the aircraft model itself, glue and paints are not included in the package.
