This is a set of waterslide decals in 1:48 scale from the Czech publisher ROP o.s. It is not an aircraft model but an aftermarket set of markings for building a model of the Polikarpov Po-2 (U-2) biplane. This release concentrates on postwar machines, that is Po-2s operated after 1945 in various countries.
The Po-2 was a simple and exceptionally tough biplane with a Shvetsov M-11 radial engine. Because it was undemanding to operate, it served long after the Second World War as a trainer, liaison, agricultural and ambulance aircraft and was in use in many countries. In later conflicts it found a role once again in night harassment sorties.
The decals are intended for the widely available plastic models of the Po-2/U-2 in 1:48 scale. Apply them over a smooth gloss coat so that no silvering occurs; decal softeners help them settle. Unify the surface with a matte or semi-gloss varnish.
This is a set of decals (aftermarket markings), not a model. The aircraft model, glue and paints are not included in the package.
