RF-4B Phantom II BASIC kabuki masks (1:48) is a set of accurate self-adhesive New Ware masks for spraying the glazing and the wheels of a reconnaissance Phantom model cleanly.
Responsibility details are not available.
A New Ware masking set at the BASIC level for a model of the McDonnell Douglas RF-4B Phantom II reconnaissance aircraft in 1:48 scale. The masks are cut from kabuki (washi) tape, they follow the shapes of the frames exactly and lift off with no adhesive residue. The BASIC level covers above all the canopy glazing and the wheel tires.
The RF-4B is the unarmed photo-reconnaissance version of the two-seat supersonic Phantom II, used by the aviation arm of the US Marine Corps. It differs from the fighter Phantoms in its lengthened nose with windows for reconnaissance cameras in place of the radar and the gun armament.
Lay the mask on the degreased glazing of the long two-seat canopy and mask the lower areas with tape. Apply the paint in thin coats so that it does not bleed under the edge, and lift the mask off shortly after it has dried. Mask the wheels before the tires are sprayed.
These are self-adhesive painting masks, not a model. Paints, glue and the model are not included in the package.
