The resin accessory S-25-OFM in 1:48 scale from the brand Aerobonus (Aires). The set captures a Soviet large-caliber unguided air-to-ground aerial rocket together with its launch container and serves to arm a finished model of an attack or fighter aircraft.
The S-25 is a Soviet heavy unguided aerial rocket of roughly 340 millimeter caliber, launched from a single-round container. The OFM version carried a high-explosive fragmentation warhead and was intended to destroy ground targets. Rockets of this family were carried by attack and fighter-bomber aircraft such as the Su-25, the Su-17 and the MiG-27.
It is a resin set for experienced modelers. First wash the mold release residue off the parts, carefully cut off the casting blocks and glue them with cyanoacrylate glue (super glue). Protect your airways while sanding. The set does not contain an aircraft model or its pylons; it is an accessory for arming a finished model. A metallic gray or olive base suits the rocket, with a fine accent on the engraved lines and a restrained patina.
The set is supplied unassembled and unpainted; it is a resin accessory for a model. Glue, paints and the base model are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
