This item is not a model of a helicopter but an accurate resin (3D-printed) replacement for the wheels of plastic Sikorsky S-55 / H-19 Chickasaw models in 1:48 scale. The Type 2 designation distinguishes a form of wheel from the Type 1 variant — both sets share the subject and differ in the detail of the tire, so choose according to your own particular version of the machine.
The tires have a loaded, slightly flattened contact patch and finely rendered tread patterns. The wheel hubs carry sharp details that injection-molded plastic reproduces only with difficulty.
Wash the parts free of residues of mold release agent, cut the casting blocks off and glue them with cyanoacrylate. Protect your airways while sanding. Apply a primer before painting.
This is an accessory for a build, not a model in its own right. The base kit, glue and paints are not included in the package.
