The masking set Soviet Red-White Outlined Kremlin Stars — early variant, 1:48 from Armycast serves for spraying stars of the Kremlin type with a double red and white edging. An accessory for a model, not a kit.
Responsibility details are not available.
A set of self-adhesive Armycast masks for 1:48 scale. It lets you spray the Soviet star insignia of the Kremlin type with a double, red and white outline, in the variant designated as early. It is not a model and these are not decals — the masks serve to make the marking come about in paint directly in the finish.
Combining the Kremlin type of star with a double edging gives the most complex pattern in this range: an inner red area, a white band and, at the outside, a thin red line. Armycast divides the range into an early, a mid and a late variant. Check the particular proportions of the individual variants by comparing the masks with the documentation for the aircraft you are building.
Pay attention to the placement of the insignia. A star is a symmetrical shape, so even a small rotation or offset shows on the finished model at first glance, especially on paired insignia on the left and right sides. Measure both positions from a fixed point first, typically from the leading edge of the wing or from a rivet line on the fuselage, and mark the position with thin strips of masking tape rather than drawing in pencil across the whole insignia. Then align the mask to these guides and only then press it down. Before you start spraying, step back from the model and check both insignia by eye from above and from the side.
This is an accessory for a model. The model, paints and glue are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
