The resin detail set Aires Spitfire Mk. IXc gun bays in 1:48 scale, the late form. Resin gun bays for a plastic kit, not a standalone model.
Responsibility details are not available.
A resin detail set from Aires in 1:48 scale holding the gun bays for a plastic kit of the Supermarine Spitfire Mk. IXc fighter in the late form. The castings make it possible to open the wing panels and reveal the internal installation of the armament. It is not an airplane model but an accessory that adds to the detail of the wing of a kit.
The Spitfire Mk. IX was a high-performance version of the British fighter of the Second World War, powered by a Rolls-Royce Merlin engine. The c-type wing (the universal one) allowed a combination of 20 mm gun armament and 7.7 mm machine guns. The late form differed slightly in the layout and details of the wing.
The set as a rule calls for cutting out part of the wing according to a template. Wash the mold release agent off the parts and separate them from the casting blocks, bond with super glue (cyanoacrylate), and sand with respiratory protection. Pick out the inner structures with the interior shade, a dry brush and a wash for a sense of depth.
This is a resin accessory for a kit, not a standalone model. The base kit, glue and paints are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
