A resin detail accessory from the Aerobonus brand (the aviation accessory range of the maker Aires) in 1:48 scale. It is not an aircraft model but a piece of ground service equipment: a handling cart on which torpedoes were moved and lifted for loading under a US Navy aircraft. It serves to enliven an aviation scene, a hangar or a carrier deck.
Handling carts were standard equipment at naval bases and on aircraft carriers. They made it possible to move heavy ordnance safely and to line it up precisely under the wing or the fuselage of an aircraft. It is exactly these details that give a diorama its truthfulness.
First wash the resin parts to remove mold release residue (warm soapy water), cut off the casting blocks and sand them with respiratory protection. It is bonded with super glue (cyanoacrylate). Apply primer before painting; metal and worn surfaces come into their own after washes and pigments.
This is a resin accessory, not an aircraft model. Glue, paints and the aircraft are not included in the package.
