The set represents an airfield maintenance shop trailer of the F-2A type in 1:48 scale. It is not an aircraft kit but a diorama accessory of US Air Force ground support. The trailer served as a mobile workstation with equipment for maintenance right on the handling area. In a diorama it complements the facilities around a parked aircraft and gives the scene a story about the work of the mechanics.
Mobile workshop trailers make it possible to carry out maintenance and minor repairs on equipment right beside the aircraft, without having to move it into a hangar. The F-2A version is based on the proven line of airfield trailers. Trains of such trailers are usually towed by an airfield tow tractor.
Wash the mold release agent off the parts, cut off the casting blocks and glue them with cyanoacrylate glue (super glue). Unify the structure with a primer, spray the base shade and bring the metal areas to life with chips, rust and a wash. Pigments will fine-tune the working grime.
The accessory is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Paints, glue and a diorama base are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
