A resin figure of a ground mechanic of the air forces of the Warsaw Pact countries in 1:48 scale from the brand Aerobonus. This is the third part of a complete series of mechanic figures, of which every piece captures a different man in a working position. The figure will bring a scene beside aircraft of eastern origin to life and serves as an accessory for models and for dioramas.
The ground personnel formed the backbone of every air base. Mechanics in working overalls prepared the machines for flight and carried out maintenance, replenishment and the preflight check. The figure matches the Warsaw Pact period and suits most of the Soviet types used by the member states.
The figure is cast in resin, so before gluing wash the remains of the mold release agent off the parts and carefully cut off the casting blocks. Glue with cyanoacrylate glue (super glue) and sand with respiratory protection. It is advisable to apply a primer first for adhesion and to paint the figure with a brush, with the emphasis on the face and the folds of the clothing; a final wash will bring out the details.
The figure is supplied unassembled and unpainted as a resin casting. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package.
