This item is a set of vacuum-formed clear parts in 1:48 scale from the Czech maker Rob Taurus. It is NOT a kit of the aircraft but replacement glazing for a model of the British Vickers Wellington Mk.I bomber. Compared with the standalone cockpit canopy, this is a wider set of the clear parts of the aircraft. The clear thin-walled material improves both the optics and the fidelity to scale.
The Vickers Wellington was a twin-engine British bomber of the Second World War with the characteristic geodetic lattice construction of its fuselage, thanks to which it could take considerable combat damage. The Mk.I version was among the first production forms.
Cut the individual parts out slightly outside the outline and sand them down to an exact fit. Glue them with clear glue for transparent parts or with thin gel cyanoacrylate. Mask the frames before spraying and work through the glazed areas one by one.
This is a set of accessories (clear parts), not a complete model. The kit itself, the paints and the glue are not included in the package.
