Brengun 1:144 modern fuel jerrycans is an accessory set of miniature modern jerrycans for fuel in 1:144 scale. It is an accessory for models and dioramas, not a kit.
Responsibility details are not available.
The set from the Czech maker Brengun belongs among the accessories that are added to a finished model. It holds miniature jerrycans for fuel in the form used by modern armies. In 1:144 scale it is precisely such small things that are most often missed: the machine is finished, but the area around it looks empty and uninhabited.
Portable jerrycans of around twenty liters remain a basic element of field supply in the present day too. Besides the classic steel form, jerrycans of hard-wearing plastics are commonly used today, differing in color and sometimes in the shape of the handles. They are used with wheeled and tracked vehicles, on airfield areas and in workshop premises, so the set suits practically every modern scene.
With modern jerrycans it pays not to be sparing with variety of color. Steel pieces are commonly painted in the shade of the vehicle, plastic ones tend to be markedly different, so even a few pieces painted differently will give a scene naturalness. Proceed from the primer through the base shade to fine highlighting of the edges. The weathering can be more restrained on present-day equipment than in historical scenes, but not even new gear stays clean for long. Finally we recommend fixing the jerrycans firmly with super glue, because small parts are easily lost from a scene.
The set is supplied unpainted. Glue, paints and the base kit are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
