This set contains resin wheels for the P-38 Lightning twin-boom fighter aircraft in 1:32 scale together with masking film for painting the tires and the hubs. It is not a stand-alone model but a detail accessory for a kit. The cast wheels faithfully capture the tire tread pattern and may carry a suggested load, the so-called flat spot.
The P-38 Lightning was an American twin-engined fighter aircraft of the Second World War with a characteristic layout with two tail booms. It was powered by a pair of Allison V engines and the aircraft served on many fronts.
Wash the mold release agent off the wheels and cut off the casting blocks. The masking film makes a clean separation of the tire color from the hub easier. The wheels are as a rule glued with cyanoacrylate glue (super glue) at the end of building the landing gear.
