A set of figures of German infantry of the Second World War in 1:48 scale. It is supplied unpainted.
Responsibility details are not available.
The figures portray German infantrymen of the Second World War period, that is, soldiers in field uniform and helmet and with the usual equipment that the infantry carried on all fronts. It is the human figure that gives a model and a whole scene its scale: only by the soldier next to a vehicle or an aircraft do you see how large the machine really was.
Figures of German infantry in 1:48 scale. They are supplied unpainted, on the assumption that you will paint them according to your own idea of the period and the front. Glue any small items of equipment on with super glue and tweezers; ordinary cement for plastic kits need not act on the material of the figures. Bases, a vehicle and a groundwork base are not part of the delivery.
Before painting, wash the figures in lukewarm water with detergent and let them dry; paint holds far better on a degreased surface. The uniform consists of a base shade of field gray, with a darker glaze into the folds and fine dry brushing on the raised areas. Paint the leather straps and the boots separately so that they do not merge with the uniform. In 1:48 scale there is no longer any need to paint the eyes in detail; what sells the figure is a legible outline of the equipment and the contrast between uniform and skin.
For modelers who build machines in 1:48 scale and want a crew or accompanying infantry to go with them, and for builders of smaller diorama scenes. Paints, glue and tools are not part of the delivery, unless stated otherwise.
