1:700 IJN Battleship Yamato, Full Hull is a plastic kit of the Japanese battleship Yamato in 1:700 scale from Fujimi, done as a full hull model.

An injection-molded plastic kit in the most widely used ship scale of 1:700 from the Japanese maker Fujimi. The full hull designation means that the model has the hull including the underwater part, and it is therefore built on a stand or in a dock, not on a water surface. Compared with a waterline version the result is considerably taller and shows the shape of the bottom, the propellers and the rudders better. The package contents including the stand, the number of parts and the exact year of the ship's fit are given on the packaging and in the instructions.
The Yamato was the lead ship of the class of the same name and the largest battleship ever built. Her main armament consisted of 46 cm guns in three triple turrets, two forward and one aft. Characteristic features were the massive pagoda superstructure and the markedly swelling bow with a bulb, which improved her behavior in a sea. The ship entered service at the end of 1941 and was lost in April 1945. The full hull version shows exactly the shape of the underwater part, which is one of the most interesting design features of this class.
With a full hull model, prepare a firm stand first, because the ship will not stand flat. Paint the underwater part separately and run the transition to the sides along masking tape so that the dividing line is sharp. Spray the superstructures and the decks with an airbrush in sections and only then glue them to the hull. A dark wash emphasizes the engraved detail of the decks and superstructures and a fine dry brush lifts the small armament. Glue the masts and the barrels with cyanoacrylate, and photo-etched railings and ladders are among the accessories with the greatest visual benefit.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
