This resin kit captures the American battleship USS Texas as she was in 1942, in 1:700 scale. The model from the Czech manufacturer ROP is cast in resin and suits modelers with experience of resin. The contents of the package follow the actual delivery.
USS Texas was a battleship of the New York class, commissioned in 1914. In 1942 she joined the fighting in the Atlantic, among other things in support of the landing in North Africa as part of Operation Torch. Her main artillery consisted of guns of fourteen inches. This earlier configuration differs from the later state of 1945 in the arrangement of the superstructure and the anti-aircraft armament. The ship has survived as a museum vessel.
Wash the mold release agent off the parts, cut off the casting blocks and glue them with cyanoacrylate glue (super glue); sand with respiratory protection. Fine photo-etched railings, masts and boats will raise the fidelity. The model can be built as a waterline model or with a base.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
