HMS Huron 1944 is a resin kit of a Tribal class destroyer in 1:700 scale from ROP o.s. Intended for experienced modelers.
Responsibility details are not available.
This resin kit in 1:700 scale captures the Tribal class destroyer Huron as she was in 1944. It is a resin kit intended for experienced modelers; the subject is a ship of the Royal Canadian Navy (HMS Huron in the name, HMCS Huron, G24, in service).
Huron belonged to the famous Tribal class, fast and heavily armed destroyers. She entered service in 1943 and in 1944 operated in the English Channel in the run-up to the landing in Normandy and in actions against German surface vessels. The Tribal class was marked out by a distinctive silhouette with two funnels and gun turrets of the main caliber.
Wash the mold release agent off the resin parts, cut off the casting blocks and sand them down with respiratory protection. Glue them with cyanoacrylate glue (super glue). The model can be built with the full hull or as a waterline model on a stand. Photo-etched railings and aerials from stretched sprue are worth adding. A period camouflage scheme suits British vessels; consider an airbrush and fine washes to bring out the deck.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
