The set from MASTER contains 8 turned brass barrels for the German heavy naval gun of 38 cm caliber, the SK C/34, in 1:700 scale. This was the main artillery armament of the battleships Bismarck and Tirpitz. The metal barrels replace the plastic parts and give the model perfectly straight barrels with a sharp muzzle. It is a detail accessory, not a ship model.
The 38 cm SK C/34 gun was the main weapon of the German battleships of the Bismarck class. Eight of these guns were mounted in four twin turrets and made up one of the most powerful artillery armaments of the Kriegsmarine in the Second World War. The battleships Bismarck and Tirpitz were among the best-known warships of their day.
Separate the barrels from the casting block, clean them up and glue them on with cyanoacrylate. Degrease the brass before painting and apply a primer, then put the paint on with an airbrush. Straight metal barrels markedly improve the look of the main turrets.
This is a metal detail accessory, not a complete model. The base kit, glue, paints and other accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
