An injection-molded plastic kit of a ship in 1:700 scale from the Japanese manufacturer Fujimi. It captures the battleship Hyuga of the Imperial Japanese Navy in her rebuilt hybrid form with a flight deck at the stern. The model is intended to be assembled and painted.
The Hyuga belonged to the Ise class. During the war she was rebuilt into a hybrid battleship in which the rear gun turrets were replaced by a flight deck and a hangar for floatplanes. An unusual combination of a battleship and an aircraft carrier thus came into being.
Build the hull as a full hull or as a waterline version, according to the form of the kit. The flight deck, the catapults and the fine elements are worth supplementing with photo-etched parts, which are sold separately. Paint with an airbrush, set the wooden deck apart by masking and bring the weathering out gently with washes.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
