An injection-molded plastic kit of the light cruiser Jintsu of the Imperial Japanese Navy in 1:700 scale from the manufacturer Fujimi. The model captures the slender hull and the characteristic superstructure of this cruiser, which served as the flagship of destroyer flotillas. It is supplied unassembled and unpainted.
The Jintsu was a light cruiser of the Imperial Japanese Navy, one of the ships of the Sendai class. These fast cruisers were built as destroyer flotilla leaders and carried both gun and torpedo armament. The tall forward superstructure and the slender hull for high speed were characteristic of them.
According to the contents of the kit, the model can be built as a full hull or as a waterline version. Glue the fine superstructures, masts and armament precisely; the railings and further details can be supplemented with photo-etched parts from the accessories. Lay the hull and the decks on with an airbrush and bring the details out with a wash. The ship will stand out well on a stand or in a diorama with a water surface.
