A kit of the disc-shaped Avrocar machine in 1:72 scale, listed by the supplier as Racer X Boa agency. There is a typo in the name of the item; the correct form is Avrocar.
Responsibility details are not available.
The Avrocar is an experimental machine of disc shape with vertical takeoff, which Avro Canada built in the late 1950s to an American military requirement. It was to combine vertical takeoff with fast horizontal flight, but in the trials stability above a low height could not be held and the project got no further than prototypes. On a shelf among ordinary airplanes it is therefore impossible to miss.
A kit in 1:72 scale. The name has two letters transposed; the subject is correctly the Avrocar. The supplier lists the item with the addition Boa agency, which is not explained any further. The scale agrees in the name as well as in the designation of the item.
With a disc shape the main work is the peripheral joint between the two halves, because it is visible from every side. Glue it section by section, let it dry thoroughly and only then sand and polish it. Large continuous areas forgive no irregularity, so a primer coat proves its worth, as the flaws are found on it before the paint comes. Wash and degrease the model before painting.
The kit is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Paints, glue and tools are not part of the delivery, unless stated otherwise.
