A detailed pre-painted photo-etched instrument panel for models of the Boeing B-17G Flying Fortress heavy bomber in 1:72 scale. The panel is built up from laminated photo-etched layers into a three-dimensional form, and the dial faces are printed in color with a glossy imitation of glass. The panel is conceived as a drop-in replacement - it is fitted into the pilot's cockpit without painting and practically without further work.
The Boeing B-17G was the final production version of the American heavy bomber of the Second World War. It was marked by the chin turret under the nose, which added to the defense against head-on attacks by fighters. The Flying Fortresses formed the backbone of the daylight strategic bombing campaign over Europe.
The panel is glued with super glue (cyanoacrylate). The color printing and the glossy imitation of glass take the place of both painting and decals. In 1:72 scale these are small parts with sharp edges, so work carefully.
This is an accessory, not a kit of an aircraft. It contains small photo-etched parts and is not suitable for children.
