AZ model 1:72 Bf 109E-3a In Romanian Service is an injection-molded plastic kit of the Emil in Romanian service.
Responsibility details are not available.
An injection-molded plastic kit in 1:72 scale from the Czech maker AZ model. The E-3a configuration is combined here with the markings of the Romanian Air Force, a less usual and all the more attractive subject. The package holds gray and clear plastic parts, decals and color instructions with schemes for several machines.
The Bf 109E, nicknamed Emil, was the backbone of the German fighter force at the beginning of the war and, in export form, served Germany's allies as well. Romanian Emils took part in the fighting on the Eastern Front, from the campaign in Bessarabia to the Stalingrad area in 1941 and 1942. Their colorful markings are still a rewarding modeling subject today.
Clean the parts up and dry-fit them, as is usual with a short-run kit. Paint the cockpit before closing the fuselage. Romanian schemes have distinctive crosses and insignia, so apply the decals onto gloss varnish and fix them with a flat coat.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
