An injection-molded plastic kit of the Soviet XT-26 chemical tank in 1:72 scale from the Ukrainian manufacturer UM (UniModels). The model captures a specialized variant derived from the T-26 light tank. The smaller 1:72 scale suits collections of interwar vehicles as well as a diorama.
The XT-26 (also known as the OT-26) was a Soviet chemical tank derived from the twin-turret version of the T-26. It carried equipment for releasing flame and chemical warfare agents and was intended to destroy fortifications and strongpoints. It served with Soviet armored units in the 1930s and in the early part of the Second World War.
Cut the tiny parts of the running gear and of the superstructure away carefully and glue them with liquid cement for plastic. We finish the running gear before closing up the hull. We recommend an undercoat, airbrush spraying in Soviet green, a wash in the recesses and pigments for dust and mud effects.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
