1:32 AH-1G Cobra (early version) is a 3D textured set of instrument panels from Red Fox Studio on decal paper. It is laid into the ICM kit by soaking in water, like a decal, not by gluing a part.

A Red Fox Studio set for a model of the attack helicopter from the ICM kit in 1:32 scale. The instrument panels are printed in color and textured in relief, the carrier is decal paper — the panel is soaked off, slid into place and held by the decal's own adhesive. It is not a resin casting and not a photo-etched part.
The Cobra has an exceptionally narrow fuselage and its crew sits one behind the other, with the pilot at the rear seated higher than the gunner in front. The two stations differ substantially: the front one is laid out around the sighting equipment and carries only a limited number of flight instruments, while the rear one has a full instrument panel and the main controls. The early version also differs in equipment from later machines, so a panel intended for it does not suit every build. What decides, though, is the glazing: the cabin is made up of large flat panes through which the interior is visible from the side and from above, and in 1:32 everything inside is on show.
In a narrow fuselage the thickness of the print carries weight. First check dry that the fuselage halves with the cockpit fitted still join without the seam opening up; only then paint. Let the paint cure fully, degrease the area and sand the molded dials smooth so that the print seats. Lay the panels of both stations in one session so that they have the same degree of drying, and leave the finished cockpit alone overnight before you close it. Mask the glazing right at the end — fumes from the glue for clear parts could fog a fresh print.
This is an accessory for a kit, not a model of the helicopter. The kit, paints and glue are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise. Check before ordering that it matches the kit and the version of the machine you are building.
