The Ilyushin Il-2 Shturmovik was a Soviet ground attack aircraft famous for its armored structure around the pilot and the engine. The early form was a single-seater, without a rear gunner, and it was widely used for attacks on ground targets on the Eastern Front. It was one of the most numerously produced combat aircraft in history.
These are wet slide decals. Apply them on smooth gloss varnish, which prevents silvering under the film. Cut the individual subject out, dip it in lukewarm water for a few seconds and then slide it off the backing paper onto the model. Fine-tune the position, soak the surplus water away and support the settling with a decal softener. Once dry, even the surface out with a coat of varnish.
