F-15J Eagle Mystic Eagle IV 204SQ Part2 1:72 — a kit of the Japanese fighter in the special coloring of the 204th Squadron from Hasegawa.
Responsibility details are not available.
A plastic kit of the fighter F-15J Eagle in 1:72 scale from Hasegawa, this time in the special coloring Mystic Eagle IV of the 204th Squadron, the second variant from this line. The Mystic Eagle series is among the most striking Japanese display schemes, and on an otherwise soberly gray aircraft it creates a markedly collectible piece.
The F-15J is the licensed Japanese version of the American fighter F-15 Eagle, which Mitsubishi built for the Air Self-Defense Force. The twin-engine machine with excellent agility and a reserve of performance has served since the 1980s as Japan's main interceptor. The 204th Squadron operates from Naha air base on Okinawa, from where its aircraft patrol over the southwestern sector of Japanese airspace — it is one of the busiest fighter units in the country.
Spray the base gray camouflage with an airbrush and let it dry through perfectly before the large special decals come in turn — the base has to be glossy, otherwise silvering threatens. Settle the large motifs in pieces with plenty of water and softener. With a version in a special coloring it pays to match the shades of the base to the decals on a test piece of plastic.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
