An injection-molded plastic kit from the ACE brand in 1:72 scale. The subject is the British wheeled armored personnel carrier FV-603B Saracen in the Mk.II version. It is a classic short-run kit meant to be assembled and painted, and it will complete a collection of postwar British wheeled hardware.
The Saracen was a six-wheeled armored personnel carrier that served the British army and a number of other users in the second half of the twentieth century. It came about in a family of vehicles on a common chassis together with the Saladin armored car and was deployed in many areas as a transport and patrol vehicle. Its tall boxy armored hull and the arrangement of three axles are characteristic.
As with short-run kits, we recommend first cleaning the parts of flash and sprue nubs and dry-fitting them. Glue with liquid cement for plastic. Assemble and paint the running gear and the wheels before the final assembly of the hull. Once the base color is sprayed on, the details will show with the help of washes and drybrushing, and mud and dust effects will give the vehicle a faithful look.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
