About product

German ETC 50 bomb racks for the Fw 190A 1:72 (AML)

This is not an aircraft model, but a resin detail accessory for more advanced modelers. The set holds precisely cast German racks of the ETC 50 type, which served to carry light bombs under the wings of Focke-Wulf Fw 190 fighters of the A version. It is intended for models of the Fw 190A in 1:72 scale.

The real subject

The ETC 50 rack was a period German carrier of light bombs (typically the SC50) used on a whole range of Luftwaffe aircraft. On Fw 190A fighters it allowed them to be used in the role of a light fighter-bomber as well. The faithful shape of the rack makes the underwing ordnance of a model more accurate.

Building tips

Wash the parts free of mold release agent, cut the casting blocks off and sand them with respiratory protection. It is bonded with super glue (cyanoacrylate). Check the position of the racks dry before gluing them on.

Who the set is for

  • Builders of the Fw 190A in the role of a light bomber
  • Modelers with experience of resin parts
  • Anyone interested in faithful period underwing ordnance in 1:72

This is an accessory, not a model in its own right. The kit, glue and paints are not included in the package.
