A plastic kit of the German battleship Bismarck in 1:350 scale from Trumpeter.
Responsibility details are not available.
This injection-molded plastic kit in 1:350 scale from Trumpeter depicts the German battleship Bismarck. It is a new tooling with a high part count; the package contains a hull with a finely engraved planked deck pattern, photo-etched parts, a metal anchor chain and a display stand. The model can be built as a full hull or as a waterline version.
The Bismarck was the flagship battleship of the Kriegsmarine and, when she was built, one of the largest and most heavily armed battleships in Europe. Her main armament consisted of eight 380 mm guns in four twin turrets. She entered history with Operation Rheinübung in May 1941, during which she sank the British battlecruiser HMS Hood. A few days later, after a long pursuit and damage to her rudder, she was herself sunk by the forces of the Royal Navy.
The engraved planked deck pattern comes out after a base color and a discreet wash in the gaps. Bond the fine photo-etched railings, ladders and radars with super glue (cyanoacrylate) and the plastic with thin modeling cement. Apply a primer before the airbrush. Paint the superstructures and the turrets in sections; lay the typical camouflage finish on the hull with an airbrush in thin coats. Finish the model with the stand, or cut the hull down to a waterline version.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
