A conversion set for a model of the Fw 190D-9 in 1:72 scale that lets you build an aircraft with the taller vertical tail taken from the Ta 152.
Responsibility details are not available.
The Fw 190D-9 is a late version of the German Fw 190 fighter from the end of the Second World War, recognizable at a glance by the lengthened nose and the longer fuselage. Among modelers the nickname Dora has stuck to it. The Ta 152 was the next development stage of the same design line and had, among other things, a taller vertical tail. Exactly such a tail surface went to some of the late Fw 190D-9 aircraft, and that is the aircraft this conversion is aimed at.
This is a conversion set for 1:72 scale. It replaces the standard vertical tail with a taller fin and thereby changes the silhouette of the finished model, because a taller fin shifts the whole impression of the aircraft. The range of parts and the kit the set is cut for are given in the manufacturer's description and instructions, so compare the set with your own kit before you buy.
The parts are not polystyrene, so they are glued with cyanoacrylate glue and not with cement for plastic models. Cut the surplus material away with a sharp blade a little way from the part and sand the remainder down. The conversion works into the shape of the fuselage, so try the fit dry first and only then glue. Fill and sand the joint at the junction, otherwise the paint will emphasize it instead of hiding it. Wash and degrease the parts before painting.
The kit, paints, filler and glue are not part of the delivery, unless stated otherwise.
