The basic masking set 1:72 G-222 Panda / C-27A Chuck Basic kabuki masks from the manufacturer New Ware for a model of the twin-engine transport aircraft in 1:72 scale.
Responsibility details are not available.
A set of pre-cut self-adhesive templates for a model of the tactical transport aircraft in 1:72 scale. The twofold designation in the name refers to the Italian G.222 type and to its American C-27A version, and both nicknames come from the terminology common with kits of this machine. It is neither a model nor decals: the set serves for masking during painting. The Basic line is the basic extent, and the manufacturer also offers a richer version.
Kabuki paper is a thin Japanese paper of the washi type with a weak pressure-sensitive adhesive. For masking it has three properties you will not find together anywhere else. First, it can be cut precisely, so the edge of the mask really is where the frame is meant to be. Second, it is pliable enough to be pressed onto a slightly curved surface without rippling. And third, it holds well enough to keep paint from flowing under it, yet not so well as to pull fresh clear coat off when removed, which is the usual problem with thick adhesive tapes. The paper moreover does not let paint through, so it works even when spraying in several coats.
For builders of transport aircraft in 1:72 scale who want cleanly separated glazing frames and do not want to put them together laboriously from tape. The set is cut for a particular kit, so check before buying which one it suits.
This is a modeling accessory, not a kit. Paints, glue and the model are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
