Decals in 1:72 scale for a model of the GAZ-55 ambulance vehicle. The package contains a decal sheet with which you mark a model that has been built and painted; it is not a kit. Ambulance vehicles tend to have specific markings that usually do not appear in the decals supplied with kits, and that is exactly the point of a separate sheet.
The GAZ-55 was an ambulance vehicle built on the chassis of the GAZ-MM truck with a load capacity of one and a half tons. It went into production in the second half of the 1930s. The rear was a closed box body with suspension modified to carry stretcher patients and with ventilation of its own. The vehicle was built on the production civil chassis, so the cab and the front end stayed the same as on an ordinary truck.
With decals the soaking time matters more than one expects. Pour lukewarm distilled, or at least boiled, water into a dish, because hard tap water leaves lime marks on the printing. Put the decal in for a few seconds, take it out before the film comes free of its own accord and let it rest for a moment on a paper towel. The adhesive activates fully in the meantime and the film will slide off the backing easily. An oversoaked decal is the opposite extreme: the water washes most of the adhesive away and the printing then does not hold on the model. If that happens, a drop of thinned wood glue or of decal adhesive will help.
This is a separate decal sheet. The model, paints, varnish and decal softener are not included in the package.
