An injection-molded plastic model of the German Jagdpanther tank destroyer in late production form, in 1:72 scale from Trumpeter. The kit is supplied unassembled and unpainted. For the exact contents of the package, that is the number of parts and the decals, follow the enclosed instructions and the markings on the box.
The Jagdpanther was a German tank destroyer built on the proven chassis of the Panther medium tank. In a low, steeply sloped superstructure it carried the powerful 88 mm PaK 43 gun with a long L/71 barrel, which was among the most effective anti-tank weapons of its day. The vehicle was powered by a Maybach twelve-cylinder engine, and with a combat weight of around 46 tons it combined good firepower, armor protection and mobility. The late production batches differ from the early pieces in a number of production details.
With armor, first finish the running gear (the road wheels and the tracks) and only then close the hull. Spray the base coat over a primer and lay the paints on with an airbrush. The three-color camouflage is brought out by washes into the recesses and by pigments for mud and dust effects on the lower hull and the tracks; dry brushing reveals worn metal on the edges.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
