It is short-run tooling; check the exact contents of the box and the number of decal schemes in the instructions. Paints and glue are not included in the package.
The Me 209 V1 was a special record-breaking aircraft built with a single aim, to take the world speed record for piston aircraft. That succeeded at the end of the 1930s, and the record it set stood for many years. Despite the propaganda designation it had almost nothing in common structurally with the Bf 109 fighter; it was extremely cramped, with demanding cooling and difficult handling. It stayed at a few prototypes, and the type never entered series production in this form.
With short-run tooling, allow for deliberate cleanup of the parts and a dry test fit before gluing. In 1:72 scale the parts are small: glue the plastic joints with liquid modeling cement and work with tweezers. Mask the canopy glazing and paint with an airbrush over a thin primer. The smooth, glossy finish of a record aircraft comes into its own after careful sanding.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
