The Aires Ki-61 control surfaces 1:72 is a resin set of separate control surfaces for a plastic model of the Kawasaki Ki-61 Hien fighter.
Responsibility details are not available.
This is not an airplane model but an Aires resin accessory set in 1:72 scale. The set contains separately cast control surfaces, that is the ailerons, the elevator and the rudder, and the flaps where applicable, for a plastic kit of the Kawasaki Ki-61 Hien fighter. It lets you show these surfaces deflected and give the model a dynamic look. The set is meant for more experienced modelers.
The Kawasaki Ki-61 Hien was a Japanese single-seat fighter of the Second World War, recognizable by its liquid-cooled V engine and slender nose. The Allies knew it by the code name Tony.
Cut the original surfaces off the kit and replace them with the resin parts. Wash those first, clean up the casting blocks and bond them with super glue at a natural angle of deflection. The engraving and the texture of the covering come out with a fine wash, and you can then match the final painting to the surrounding airframe.
This is an accessory, not a complete model. The base kit, glue, paints and other parts are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
